Paypal orders are not getting email confirmations

I assume that should be 'Paypal' as per the title.

Are they returning to your site after paying?

Yes my mistook, when ordering online using Paypal to make payment Sellerdeck does not appear to send out a email confirmation we have to do it manually.

Looks like its been a long term issue we have just picked up

This normally happens because the customer isn't returning to the receipt page on your site which is what triggers the email. Often because paypal likes to show them other interesting stuff and sometime because they just pay and then think, 'right that's done. Off to do something else now.'

You should as a minimum have auto return set up in paypal. IIRC you can also display a message in paypal along the lines of 'return to the seller to get a receipt confirmation'.

If the customer is returning to your receipt page and still doesn't get an email then there is a technical fault somewhere.

The easiest way to test is to place a test order yourself and see what happens.
