Multiple sites in Sellerdeck Hosting

I want to test out my newly upgraded site on Sellerdeck Hosting using a different domain name, while leaving my live site intact. The test site is on Sellerdeck 2014, while the live site is on a previous version.

After uploading the test site to a new folder, I found that my existing site started reporting issues about files being changed. The only reason I can think of is that both sites are sharing the same cgi-bin.

But I don't seem to have permissions to create another folder test-cgi-bin.

Is it possible to run two sites on Sellerdeck hosting with 2 different versions of Sellerdeck simultaneously? If not, what's the best way to upgrade my site to 2014 with minimum downtime?

You need to make sure that both sites have a different CGI Scrip ID Number. See Web / Network Setup. This number is used as part of the Perl script file-names so different numbers will always ensure that file-names don't clash.

Best change it in the new site so your old one can continue unaltered.

Old site might need a Refresh to repair any damage done by using identical script names.
