It's worth being aware that the current cookie law was never actually enforced and is due to be replaced, being widely disliked and regarded as impractical. However it's not yet clear what will replace it.

Thank you for the speedy response to my question.
This has saved me the time and frustration of adding extra code and development to provide a cookie consent message and particular policy statement.
Interesting that no-one appears to have asked the question in this post and the other concerning cookie law that were both posted after the Sellerdeck knowledge base article was published.

I must admit I don't know which question you think I didn't know the answer to but Sellerdeck's advice has been pretty consistent that in their opinion the cookies used by the software were essential to the operation of the software and solely used for that purpose.
