Massive price increase on Sellerdeck Entry products

Only just become aware of the massive price increase recently imposed by sellerdeck for its Entry product.
Effectively doubled the price to £999 + vat !!!!
I can see a lot of SMEs moving away from sellerdeck now - which i assume is the corporate objective.
    Thats a shame.

Whilst were on the subject, What other alternatives are there that are any good.

Must say, I have been very disapointed with how far behind the catchup process has got in recent years.

Next month Google starts ranking on Mobile, yet in my opinion we still don't have a working out of the box responsive design.

You put up the prices to get more revenue
More customers dont buy as to expensive
      A few customers leave
So you loose a bit of revenue
      Goto 1

ps GOTO very old basic code for the newby's

I also noticed that catalogue, the version I use is no more and there is only business. I emailed to ask if this was the case, i.e. they are only selling the business version but have not yet had a reply. The yearly cover prices have risen as well.
I am guessing they have decided to just sell the business version, hence the price increase. I don't know if business is less than it used to be as a result but I will certainly have to think hard about whether I will update or move to something else. My initial looks at other software was not goo as other products were similar price or worse for the amount of items on my site.

They have withdrawn 'catalogue' David. Hence the reason for my post here.
I am even more amazed there has been no announcement. They simply inform their customers as-and-when one of them might inquire.
              Disappointing treatment.

It was announced in the January 2015 Sellerdeck Insights email.

I thought I must have "missed the memo", Obviously they decided to make one expensive product rather than a cheap one and expensive one.

I think that all catalog users get a free upgrade to business. Then it's up to them whether they decide to take cover out in future years or upgrade to new versions.

I am probably not going to renew my cover contract as I can't upgrade to 2014 anyway. The Global/Realex fiasco was the last straw. Such a shame after seven years that we're looking for a new platform. Management aren't interested in the Sellerdeck product any more.

                          Hi Jules,

It will be shame to see you move, you are one of the originals.

I did get a free upgrade to business but as I missed the announcement it was quite a surprise when I installed the update. Getting the free update is good, the higher price for support is less good.
