Filters - Flash of Unstyled Content - Sort Of!

I seem to remember reading a thread about the filter menu being fully populated with all options (chekboxes) as the page loads before the filter code kicks in and sorts it - which basically looks untidy, but I can't find the post.....

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
