Out of Stock Options in search results

Out of Stock choices are appearing in search results.

So if a customer chooses to search for SIZE A, all items with SIZE A as a choice (attribute) will appear even if SIZE A is out of stock.
So the customer searches SIZE A goes to the product and there is no SIZE A

Any ideas why that isnt working?

Search and Filtering Settings:
Site Search:
+Property
Include size
Results: Exclude out of stock items is ticked.

Ive made this work ( or not work to be precise) on a default site.

If you set up a seach by property using

Search and Filtering Settings:
Site Search:
+Property:

and add a property, I used the size attribute.

You can then search by the size choices on the search page.

However, 'out of stock' size choices are returned in the results.

How long do sellerdeck support tickets generally take??

I've had one open regarding this issue for 8 days now.

So far all the responses have misunderstood the issue and now its gone very quiet.

This 'bug' has a serious impact on the viability of my store.
My products are all sold by size, and the main avenue for people to shop with me will be by searching for their size.

It is not satisfactory that out of stock sizes are returned in search results when searching for those sizes! It makes my store look rubbish..

I need a workaround, at very least something like an 'out of stock' message next to the sizes which are unavailable.... but Sellerdeck have closed the ticket.

Bug Update

I was told by support today (09.01.2018) that Sellerdeck Bug SD- 5371 is still open... (not fixed)

6 years (since v10) and still not fixed... I am finally resigning myself to the fact that it will never be fixed.

Maybe one of the designers on here could sort out a fix for you at a reasonable cost rather than waiting for ever with SD
