New Hosting Provider - New Problems

    Hi,
We recently moved our website (www.kingsbarntrees.co.uk) from Webfusion (awful support) to eUKhost. Since then we have had many problems, the worst is trying to get our payment service providers to work with our website again. We use PayPal and Nochex.
    PayPal
We have now reached the state where customers can order, pay and that's about it. We get an email telling us an order has been placed since we last downloaded.
When we look, we find the orders in the 'Pending PSP' tab. If we select an order, select 'Payments' tab, view 'Payments', we see there are no payment details. If we click on 'New Entry', the payment details magically appear. The order then transfers to 'Pending and Completed' tab.
Most of the customers have complained that they have not received an order confirmation and those that haven't complained probably haven't either; they just haven't told us.
    NOCHEX
Nocex cancelled our account just because it went down for 24 hours! Still waiting for the new account to be established.
    Customer Account
I've set myself up an account to enable us to test the checkout / payment process. I tried to login but was rejected 'No such User / Invalid Password'.
Selected 'Forgot Password' and duly received an email with a password reset link which started 'cgi/.....'. This is missing the website address at the beginning! Why? Anyway entered the correct address and got ''Password change request not found or expired'. Then went into Sellerdeck and changed my pasword, sent myself an email which worked OK. Tried to login but got 'No such User / Invalid Password'.
I'm not sure if the problems we've had are being caused by Sellerdeck setup, or the new hosting setup and whether it's a common issue causing it all. Whatever it's frustrating to have all these relatively small issues keep coming up.

Any help in identifying a solution would be really appreciated so we can get on with our real business.

    Cheers

I don't have an answer for you unfortunately but should you be thinking of moving host I cannot speak highly enough of Vidahost

When we moved hosts they migrated our websites without hitch and have been on hand almost instantly to any support query I have had.

If you still have access to your old hosting and are unhappy with your current one, then it may be worth a chat with them to see what they can do.

      I can second that advice

I have a virtual server from Vidahost

Pay monthly no contract SSL cert costs far less than Thwaite

But just in case things go wrong I keep my DNS somewhere else

I was just wondering if different host companies result in different conversion rates for the retailers they are hosting. I have thought about changing host although not really had any problems with my current one but sometimes pages are very slow to load.

I think your website is way too large at over 800KBytes and would probably benefit from some optimisation. Any reduction in size and requests will also reduce the server load making it less sensitive to hosting issues.

I find the checker here useful http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/

https://www.heartinternet.uk/ gets my vote. I have been a reseller for some time and no problems. I have many SellerDeck clients on it.
