    Another nightmare of new server

Someone please give me some help on this one as I have no idea who or what to blame

In a nutshell I was with a well known company for domain registrations, I had a VPS with them as well but their tech service was dire and some, so I moved 2 weeks ago after 10 years to another well known provider for a dedicated server

Since then, I find I have to constantly refresh my website because I've got pages missing or displaying blanks, half grated images, SD software telling me the CGI permissions need setting (Which they don't)

And now, auto orders are not happening when it was perfectly fine
Is this anything to do with FTP speed settings as I have to have it set to 1460 for uploading the site, then revert to 4 otherwise SD keeps telling me I can't download orders until I've uploaded the website, so I end up going round in circles

It's almost like "Better the devil you know"

My emails are now replied back to me via my customers with [SPAM] round the subject when that never happened either

I'm seriously concerned about this as I've done nothing wrong apart from pay a bucket load more money for it

Anyone else had this or know what I'm on about so as I know what I can do please?

I can't give you any problem specific advice I'm afraid, but I can say you should try UKFAST.
Their setup and support is exemplary.
    Kind Regards

You know who I'm with then

I've already done that and I'm not really getting anywhere fast. If I know the cause of the problem, then I'll know who to go to and what to do about it, just that I don't want to have a "Row" per say with the wrong person, if that makes sense

I've not had this sort of issue before in 10 years and I'm a bit ashamed to keep asking my host to check this/that and the other out when if it is down to my host, then why the hell can they not provide a dedicated server that doesn't cause me grief

      Maybe I'm just unlucky

          Thanks Chris

I'll cross ref yours with mine to see if I can get a 'Happy Medium'

I did have them on the phone again yesterday because when the customer receives the SD automated email of "Order Acknowledgement", some of these were being bounced back to me and classed as 'Unsolicited Mail' bla, bla, bla

This would also account for why I waited two days for SD to display an 'Order' even though I retrieved all current orders for that day, three orders would not download at all

I went beserk over this, and some seriously clever guro told me to change certain settings within the WHM control panel which would prevent this. Also, and god knows why, but he also said that my server was restricting my emails

So I told them to relax it a bit because it's an Ecommerce website and will send out automated emails which is certainly not spam

Thanks for the above and reading this. New setup and teething troubles.................Nice

I cannot remember what it was but i think it was something to do with the java version on our server that i had to ask them to replace with the latest one but that was a few years ago, may be worth checking with SD what addons it requires and check with UKFast they are switched on.

Great service but a bugger to find out where the problem is be it sd, yourself or them

I rest my case Chris, this is EXACTLY what I'm having or thankfully had and is being resolved

Thanks for the time and bother to help/reply to me as well, it means a lot
