Extra fields on Contact Form v2014

Hi.

I need to add a Required' field to the Form for Telephone. On referring to the advanced User Guide (AUG) I was disappointed to find that this section is completely out of date!

The AUG shows the changes ok, but for older versions.

1 - It refers to tables in the Contact Form html - Current Form uses DIV's. That's fine, I can figure that one out
2 - The mailform file, however is so different, it's impossible for me work it - Although #I came very close!

Anyone already done this for v2014?

Or when will Sellerdeck update the AUG? (I find it very surprising that the AUG is not updated before, or at least at the same time as a major update as is 2014...

I am amazed it doesn't have Telephone as standard. Many of our contacts don't provide a phone, we replay, it goes into their junk mail, they are unhappy thinking we haven't bothered. When we don't hear back we can't let them know we have written as there is no phone!

Very frustrating and you shouldn't need to be a SellerDeck whizz like many of you guys on here to have something so basic.

A lot of folk use stand alone php mail scripts to construct contact and other response forms in brochure pages. This can be easier than messing around with the contact page and doing custom work then needing to redo it on upgrading. You can use one on the contact us page by making a copy of the Contact Us page body then changing the original to use the php script.
A thank you page can also be made in brochure and configured in the script.
Don't forget to add formetemailpro.php to the Aditional files. For multiple forms make different named versions: formetemailcontact.php formetemailsignup.php formetemailnews.php etc etc
