Product image size

Using Smart layout.
All product images are sized to 140 pixel wide.
In section layout, maximum image sizes are set to 140.
Product list layout - Responsive product list.
Column count - tried various.
When the section is displayed with all the products, the maximum image size is ignored. Result - fuzzy images.
Why is this please?
I did try setting the product list layout to tabular. But then the column count is ignored and is always one.
I would really appreciate your assistance.

No - nothing really yet to upload!
I had just loaded the first few products via flat file upload.

That is a SellerDeck bug. You cannot set "Section Image Maximum Width" or "Product Image Maximum Width" at Section level or Product level as the site level setting applies to the whole site. If you want different max widths you have to add custom CSS styles. I suggest you send in a field report of the problem to SellerDeck Support.

Thank you so much for the detailed reply.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to fix it.
Just in case, I also amended the variable definition, but it made no difference.
I also closed and reopened sellerdeck just in case.

It seems to work on some column counts, but not all.

The CSS stylesheets have various styles for product image widths. Demo store images are 200 to 300 pixels, 140 pixels are enlarged and appear fuzzy. The Responsive CSS has styles for images which can be changed they are named ".std-product-details img" and ".product-image a > img" and ".product-image > img".

If you wish to use social media sharing images have to be at least 200 x 200 pixels otherwise it does not share the image.
