I guess it depends on your products and how many you want listed.
I've found in easier to manually create a file with the 50 or so products i want to spend money on advertising rather than 700 that SD automatically creates. It also means you can tweak the descriptions etc.
Google will host the files so it's quite easy, you can subdivide into sensible groups. It also means you can target other countries 1 feed = 1 country. duplicate the feed and you can add another country to your shopping campaign, just change prices to local currency.

Yes. The Google feeds are .txt files.
.txt and .csv are just different file types for text files.

You should be able to do this yourself by either
1. Using excel as described here: http://community.sellerdeck.com/showthread.php?t=51363
or
2. Setting up the variable as described here (for categories but the same principle): http://community.sellerdeck.com/showthread.php?t=51292

Hi Ed
The Google requirement is prone to change and is also variable depending on the type of products you sell (although admittedly, this is not the case for 'Availability').
If you can't get exactly what you want from Sellerdeck, our Catalog export Plug-in can export any product field or custom variable in your catalog (selectively by section or the whole catalog). As well as future-proofing against further changes to Google's requirements, this flexibility allows you to include non-standard data, such as Google Product Categories, if needed. We also have an option to export each permutation of a product (i.e. each attribute/choice combination), together with a 'Group ID' to indicate the 'master product', essential for groups such as 'Apparel'.
Please let me know if you'd like more information about this option.Last edited by Andy@codepath; 05-Feb-2016, 04:02 PM.

Google shopping requires availability - I copied the "new" condition variable and changed to availability "in stock" but the feed is still showing this error.
Export of the feed by sellerdeck simply does not include all the required attributes - why has there not been an update to resolve this?Tags: None
