ADA compliance

I’ve been told that my site needs to be ADA compliant but I can only find this relating to USA sites, am I been scammed?

I'd say yes. The ADA compliance is a US thing and non-compliance puts you at risk of being sued in the US. As far as I'm aware, none of the US states courts have jurisdiction outside the USA so no one is going to bother suing you.

There seems to be plenty of scammers wanting to offer to scan your site for compliance at highly inflated prices. Often just using free tools to generate the reports. Plus scanners trying to sell you a site 'overlay' that won't really achieve compliance.
