Convert older site to 1 product per page

Hi All,
I'm in the process of upgrading several older sites into v16.0.1 but when i go to a section and set it to 'Generate a separate page for each product' in the section, it will not actually apply it to subsections and products.

Am I missing something or is there a simple way to achieve this. I know there was a separate tool for v11 but assumed that was no longer a viable option.

This program is still available and will work but only on sites that used Extended Pages as single product pages, it does not work on sites that used single product per section to generate single product per pages.

If you have pages with section and product page for each product you will need a different tool, if you also used fragments in those sections to add information on the pages you will have yet more problems as you will no longer be able to use fragments in a single product page.

I believe codepath have a product that deals with single product per section but not sure how they deal with fragments used in this type of section.

No there is no global setting to change to a single product page it has to be done on each product, so you have to visit each product in turn, unless you are prepared to dive into the database itself and change the setting there.

As Mal said, we do have a plug-in that converts multiple scenarios from multi-product to single-product per page. If you still need this doing and would like some help, call me on 0161 870 6355 so we can establish exactly what needs to be done and also discuss the fragment issue if applicable.
