creating an availability field automatically

Hi All

We have recently had some issues with Google! One of the results of this is that it would be helpful to have an automatically generated Rich Snippet for In Stock or Out Of Stock.

We run stock control but is there a way to create a variable that automatically updates to show in stock or out of stock depending on the stock level, so that variable can be inserted into rich snippets or other uses for Google shopping feed etc.

It would be really helpful if this could be automated in some way

When you say 'automatically' do you mean on a site update/refresh or dynamically as stock sells out online?

The first option should be relatively easy to do using sellerdeck's built in PHP feature.

Hopefully you got my email re this point Mark? In case you didn't, this can either be achieved easily within the generated feed file using a simple Excel formula, or we could build it into the feed generator for you so no manual adjustment was required.

UPDATE: I have now built this in to the feed, Mark. Non-controlled, or in stock items export as "in stock", controlled items with 0 or less export as "out of stock". Drop me an email if you want to trial the updated version.
