    Section Link images etc

    Hi All,

We have a client that has just upgraded to 2016.

They would like to utilize the responsive theme. Great

I have pushed the buttons and their site is now using the Smart Responsive theme.

Question though, before I have to start thinking about modifying the layouts...
Would be silly to spend the time building it, if it already exists.

Is it possible in the settings to have the Section images showing 3 across, and then acting responsively, with section title and link?

This is the old site section here:- http://yachtchandlers.co.uk/acatalog...nd-Cables.html

Can 2016 show the sub-sections like that responsively by fiddling with the settings? or do we have to custom code that bit?

Try setting the section column count to 3 and see.
    It should do.

      Cheers Jenny

I have the "Column Count For Section List" set at 3

I have the Bottom Sub Section List Layout set at Responsive Sub Section List

No change - they are still one above each other in one long single column list

      Hmmmm

        section params

This is a picture of one I have just set live. Make sure you check from the level above when looking in the tree structure.
        Hope this helps

Erm, just a quickie - while that has worked - it is not repeating the subsection list twice...

            Erm...

Have you changed it at parent level (site options) for 1st and 2nd or just in the section itself?

Sometimes the use parent is overwritten within the sections themselves

                Hi Ed,

Umm, I was changing it in the Site Options - and nothing doing on the preview - so, edited the Layout from the Top category on the Content page - the main shop top category....

So it is adding the section links twice, as parameters set in Site options and in Section layout settings??

I am a little lost now but have you changed the section link layout at all?

The column count in mine is 3 for first row of section lists and section lists - but I did it within each section as the parent is often lost if it has been tinkered with.

Ignore the parent setting in site options and look at it in section level itself to be sure

Sorry if that has not helped, not sure why it is duplicating

Ahhh - got it sussed - In the Section Layout settings I had "Top Sub Section List Layout" set at Responsive Sub Section List - instead of None.

So it was doing it twice.....

Slightly different how can you reduce the size of the shown sections, that is the actual size shown for each section as they take up a lot of space on the screen at present
