Sorry Mark, I try to help out here where I can as a gesture of goodwill, but I don't have an answer for this one. Coincidentally we did have a report of it come in to support today, so I will try to get it looked at.
Apologies Bruce, I'm getting rather frustrated. Thanks.
Support have confirmed that it is a bug in all versions of SD2016 and that it is not due for fixing in the forthcoming 16.04 release either.
Thanks very much for this info Andy. Even though it is depressing news.
That is extremely frustrating. I'm not sure you can call it a 'bug'. It was working fine in all previous versions, so someone has broken it.
It removes basic functionality from the software, hardly a 'bug'!
But it is interesting that Jules (guccij) has it working.
I wonder what the difference is?
Jules didn't have it working Andy. He didn't finish mapping the fields and completing the linking, and the fault is only apparent once you actually link up and close the dialogue box.
When is a fault in software considered a 'bug' and when is it considered 'not fit for purpose or as described' ?
“Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content should be of a satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described"
According to the Trading Standards people;
"If the company won’t fix the problem or are taking too long, you can ask for a refund. You can still keep the digital product even if you get your money back."
As a fundamental feature of Sellerdeck, I would have thought this would be the highest priority to solve regardless of if support is paid or not, minor bugs can often be lived with , but this one for some is fundamental to their site and a update just to those who use this feature made as quick as possible

In all honesty Mark, I understand your frustration but selectively quoting from the Consumer Rights Act is going to fail on all kinds of levels. I seriously don't think it's worth going through all the reasons because I suspect we're all quite clued up on this.
It's been acknowledged as a bug and I'm sure will be fixed.
In the meantime, if V16 is incapable of working for you and you want a refund why not ask Sellerdeck for a refund. I'm sure they'll be reasonable in either scheduling a fix or refunding your purchase.
Really? You want to be talking to sales rather than technical support and escalate up that chain. Failing that ask to speak to Chris Barling or someone senior.
Not so sure that's the case though. It seems CB left three years ago and I know one of the new directors, Mark Ballet, from a previous life. He's a very smart and capable person.
