EU VAT and prices entered 'Inclusive of VAT'

Hi - I am just modifying a website for EU VAT regulations and need a bit of advice.

When I make a purchase from the UK the following is displayed:

    Sub Total inc VAT: £999.98
    Shipping: £0.00
    VAT: £166.66
    Total: £999.98

When I make a purchase from the EU the following is displayed:

    Sub Total inc VAT: £999.98
    Shipping: £0.00
    EU VAT: £0.00
    Total: £999.98

I assume SellerDeck does not actually deduct the added VAT for EU purchases

Is this because my product prices have been entered 'Inclusive of VAT' and I need to change them to 'Exclusive of VAT' ?
    Regards
    David

Yes, it looks that way. I have the same problem using pricing entered inclusive of VAT.

Also are you able to get the invoice to print out with £0.00 VAT? My Eu Invoice isn't showing it and I don't know if it's because I've done something wrong with the VAT setup or it's a problem with the invoice rpt.

VAT information is provided at the very bottom of the EU Invoice after all the text for me:

For anyone in Sellerdeck report ****************

I have now tested this and can confirm that the prices are correct in the checkout if you enter them exclusive of VAT but incorrect if you enter them inclusive of VAT.

Is this a bug or a design feature?

I think that's the way it works. If you enter prices inclusive of VAT than that will be the price no matter what level of VAT you set it at.

i.e. If you enter a price inclusive of VAT at £1,000.00

Price with VAT at 20%: £1,000.00
Price with VAT at 0%: £1,000.00

Price when exempt of VAT at 20%: £833.33
Price when exempt of VAT at 0%: £1,000.00

If we want the price to be lower with VAT set at 0% than it is when set at 20% then we have to enter the prices exclusive of VAT.
