    Microsoft Office 365 Domain Verification

    Hi,
    I am trying to verify my sites with office 365. They sent me a text file with some code to enter into the root file to verify. Has anyone done this before and where do I place it?

    {
    "Description": "Domain ownership verification file for Microsoft 365 - place in the website root",

    Thanks

    Further to add it seems it is the txt file they have sent that needs to be uploaded into the root.

      You can upload additional files by adding them in Design > Additional Files but those will be added to /acatalog/ folder.

      To upload a file to the root you'll need to upload them using either an ftp program or you might be able to upload them using your website host's control panel.

        If the text file is a single line something like:
        "microsoft365-site-verification=sjd5Gh.....HkI8A"
        then it will probably need to be added to your domain DNS record.
        I recently had to add something similar for Google search console site verification on the host administration platform DNS record and suggest you consult your domain host for guidance.
