Paypal Express - Delivery Phone Number stopped coming through

    Paypal Express - Delivery Phone Number stopped coming through

    Hi I just noticed, for Paypal Express orders - the Delivery Phone Number have stopped coming through. The phone number for delivery address used to come through perfectly, but since 30th January it has been blank.

    Anyone else noticed this? Is it just me? Any ideas how to fix ?

    Not a solution but was this around the time you upgraded to 18.0.6?

    There were quite a few paypal changes in 18.0.6 and it seems to have introduced a few issues.

      Hi, I can't say for sure but I reckon it is highly likely the time. Can Sellerdeck confirm ?

        If you look in your site folder you should see some files called LayoutUpgrades ...... which will show the date and time of the upgrade. At least it will confirrm if it was the upgrade that started the problem.

            Looks like I applied 18.0.5 (FIVE) on the evening of 29th January. The next Paypal Express order on the 30th was minus phone number

              Worth raising a ticket for the team to investigate.

              I would also recommend looking at PayPal Commerce Platform as that is ultimately the integration PayPal and ourselves will continue to update and improve.

                That makes sense. Now I think about it, the PayPal integration changes were in 18.0.5. 18.0.6 was mainly an EU invoice tidy up.

                  I keep seeing this "PayPal Commerce Platform" mentioned but I just do not see what I need to do to switch over to it. Is there a noddy guide ?

                        Great thanks for that - just gone through the process - nothing goes smoothly does it. It all appeared to work, uploaded, checkout - when I select PayPal the "Confirm Order" button then disappears:

                          It should load the iframe for the input fields, which doesn't appear to happen - its likely a layout issue.

                            rookers - that also happened when I tried to implement PayPal Commerce in 18.05 so I removed the integration and went back to the original PayPal integration I was using.

                              I've checked with support and they've said that this is a known issue which support can resolve. Its best to raise a support ticket, although it may take a couple days to provide the solution.

                              Its caused due to missing layout changes required by PPCP. If you were to accept the layout upgrades during the version upgrade it should resolve it, however that can be risky if you have custom layouts.

                              We've been building a widget to carry out tasks automatically and help with the upgrade, but in the mean time we'll provide support on a case by case basis.

                              I'm sure the team can have it sorted soon.
