Google Analytics 4

Hi - I am setting up a new site in Sellerdeck v18.

I am setting up a new account for this in Google Analytics which wants to use Google Analytics 4 yet Sellerdeck only offers Legacy and Universal options.

What have other people done to circumvent this?

Looking at my notes I actually got this working a while ago - notes are:

Google's latest analytics offering is Google Analytics 4. Since October 2020 they no longer offer 'Legacy Analytics' or ' Universal Analytics' options which are the two options supported by Sellerdeck.

To circumvent this I have replaced the Universal Analytics code with GA4 code in the template
Sellerdeck > Design > Library > Layouts > Google Analytics Markup > Google Analytics Tracking Code

To implement the new Global Site Tag

Sellerdeck > Marketing > Google Analytics and Ads
a. Enable Google Analytics: Yes
b. Enter account number: G-
c. Use Universal Analytics: Yes

Do you use google ads too and if so what did you do with that for GA4? or Google Tag Manager?

Hi Phil - my understanding is that GA4 is just for the analytics side.

You can link Google Ads and Analytics via Google Analytics.
