Facebook like and share buttons gone

Anybody else noticed the facebook like and share buttons have gone, they are there in the software but no longer appearing on the live site, I have looked at some other sellerdeck sites and seeing the same - other competitors sites seem to still have them. Support assume it is something on facebooks side - I am not so sure, maybe the code is no longer supported and needs updating? Tweet button still displays fine.

Interesting but it doesn't explain why the buttons are visible on many sites still using the same device where the buttons remain invisible on my sellerdeck site.

It may do.... there are 2 criteria for showing those buttons and both need to be enabled for the buttons to show. Which sites are you looking at that show the buttons? I'll take a look

I had a nose on various sellerdeck partners portfolios and many live SD sites are missing the buttons that were there in the portfolio snapshots.
I can see the buttons on any device logged in to Facebook or not on non SD sites.
I wonder if its just SD hosted sites maybe...mine is.

Grateful to Gary in support for this:

Facebook has recently made changes to their cookie consent controls that could be causing this issue, see the following statement from Facebook: -
Changes to Social Plugins in the European Region
You may start to see some impact to Social Plugins due to an updated cookies consent prompt that will be shown to people using Facebook products in the European Region. We will no longer support the 'Like' and 'Comment' Social Plugins for European Region users, unless they are both 1) Logged into their Facebook account, and 2) have provided consent to the “App and Website Cookies” control. If both of these requirements are met, the user will be able to see and interact with plugins such as the 'Like' or 'Comment' button. If either of the requirements above are not met, the user will not be able to see the plugins.
So it now appears that unless the customer has: -
            • Logged into their Facebook account
            • Provided consent to the “App and Website Cookies” control.
            the buttons will not display.
Additional to this, you may have to go to the address bar where there is a small shield on the left-hand side, click that and there is a setting 'Enhanced Tracking Protection is ON for this site', if you slide this to 'Off' the buttons appear.
