Stock Reports -why?

Why do the stock reports include all hidden &/or deleted products?
(this makes no sense and again makes the reports pointless/unusable)

Is any better reporting available after all these years?

Hidden products are mainly intended to be used as components or variants of other products, and in that context they affect product availability. That's why they are included in stock reports. The inclusion of deleted products does seem odd. I've raised a bug report for that - ref SD-8789. It's never been reported before, as far as I can see, which is quite surprising.

If you set stock warning levels then you can limit the report to include only products that have fallen below that level, which is probably more useful.

Hidden Products is also be used when a product isnt available for an extended period, but may be required in the future.
Deleting these would risk purging & losing permanently

The reporting does need serious user input and updating all round !
