Empty values are not permitted for the variable tab InActive

A client of mine who has several sites in v18, copied products across from one site to another. Now they cannot close or modify the site and get the following error message. "Empty values are not permitted for the variable tab InActive." It won't force quit either. Any ideas ?

I've never seen or heard anything like that. The only thing I can think of is that maybe he has something like tabber installed on one site but not the one he was copying to (and that's only because of the .variable name).

How to get out of it I don't know. If he has a recent backup that would work. You should be able to either use that or extract the database and swap it over in place of the damaged one.

You might also find that a database compact and repair solves the problem. It's always worth a try.

That variable name doesn't sound like it's from one of my add-ons.

Try searching for it in Design / Library / Variables (right-click the list top and choose Find). That should give some hints to what it's for. If you can locate it you could check "Allow Empty Value" which should regain you control.
