    Sellerdeck Desktop v18.2.0

    I am sure I saw a new launch topic with application set up notes concerning support for Google Tag Manager, GA4 Analytics, PayPal 'Buy Now, Pay Later' etc. earlier today but they seem to have disappeared!
    Has there been a problem with this release?

    I also got an email announcing v18.2, yes there were posts on here that have vanished! 18.2 is in the download section of the customer portal though.

          If you have no widgets do you still need to download the widget extension to use 18.2?

            Hi Ed,

            No you don't have to download the Widgets Extension. Although its worth checking out the features, as the extension licence key is included in your contract. More info here - https://www.sellerdeck.co.uk/extensions/widgets

                Just in case anyone has the same issue:

                I upgraded to 18.2.0 yesterday, all went well except that during the upgrade SD Payments by Opayo switched itself into Test mode. I didn't notice it was declining all card payments until a couple of orders appeared in the PSP Pending tab. I switched back to Production mode and refreshed the site again, all working fine now.

                My fault for not doing full test transactions after the upgrade.

                  I installed 18.2.0 this morning and spent rest of the day regretting it.

                  Firstly when I selected "launch Sellerdeck" once the install was complete, went into "test mode" and to me all seemed OK.

                  However, closed SD, tried to open it again bit later, but immediately confronted with error messages - restarted PC and it opened, but with a warning that PayPal (cards) was in "test mode" so similar to John - easily fixed, but annoying none the less.

                  The issues

                  1/ Takes several minutes to load (need a pc restart every time) and when open switching from page to page takes absolutely ages

                  2/ When it fails to open I get the error message (screen shot 1) followed by (screen shot 2), contacted support and was advised to try "services" - select "Sellerdeck Synchronization Server v18" select "turn off" then "turn on" but all I get is (screen shot 3)

                  So gone from a fully functioning web site running on 18.0.5 to a very broken one on 18.2.0 ( I did contacted Sellerdeck before to check this path was OK)

                    incidentally when I upgraded to 18.12 I think PayPal cards reverted to test mode.

                      After a number of PC reboots the "services" app let me turn "Sellerdeck Synchronization Server v18" off and back on again, and the software opened, albeit painfully slow, I did a bit of editing of stock, but then suddenly, after I guess 10 minutes, it all froze up again, and up came the message

                      Communication with the synchronization server has failed. You must restart Sellerdeck

                      Which I did, but it failed to open, just repeating the first two error messages in my post above.

                        The first error screenshot I get if ever the Internet connection is interrupted, the only choice for me is a PC restart to fix.

                            Unfortunately no.

                            Crashes within a few minutes of opening it.

                            Support pointed me at this, commenting that the error is very rare, and Jonathan @ graphicz has sent me a snapshot that is working for him, which I managed to install and upload, but problem returned.

                              Oh dear, have you got a second PC to try?
                              I am going to hold off upgrading for now.
