Purging content

I would like to reduce the size of my snapshots and remove old products, is it a safe option to click purge content or am I better simply highlighting old products and choosing cut?

Hi Ed. Purging content will permanently delete any and all items in the Content Tree that are marked for deletion. That includes brochure pages, fragments and sections, as well as products, attributes, choices and components etc. As long as you haven't used deletion to temporarily hide things, and you're confident that everything marked for deletion can be deleted permanently, then it's safe to do.
