After "upgrade" to 18.2.2 - problem with filtered sections

When an item is in a section with "Enable Filtering and Sorting" enabled
Search the item = item is found
Click on the searched item = section briefly shows then a blank page with "No matching products were found."

    On a section with both
"Enable Filtering and Sorting" & "Make Filtering the Default View" enabled
Go to the section... see the item, click on it, goes to blank page with "No matching products were found."

Support said to enable "Generate A Separate Page Just For This Product" on the problem item's "Product Page" settings.

Doing this, does make the above two scenarios work... but it's layout in the section is changed.

I can see the item was using "Standard Layout Using CSS" but once "Generate A Separate Page" is enabled,
the item is using a layout in a subsection "Filtered Product Summary"

This is not what we want.

Customers are accustomed to scrolling the section to see the data of the items and adding to cart the one they want.

    Any suggestions?

No... old legacy... I see it's based on "Executive"... Would like to start to tinker with Swift, but I'm waiting for the updated version that works with v18.22

      Anyway...

I manage to do this yesterday and it seems to work... (attached image)

In the image : Left is "before", Right is "after"

I then (snapshot backup first) exported the catalog and mass changed products fields (it was columns AJ & AK)
"Use Product Page" from 0 to 1
"Product Page Name" : concatenated the Product reference with ".html"
      then imported it.

      - during tests, column AU "Clicking Product Name in Product List" was made ticked, so I also made that column "0" in the import.

Site looks like before but now clicking on anything filtered or searched, gives the result as 1 page item (before it just took you to the item in the section)
I kind of find it better, as customers can get confused seeing a list after the search.

I hope I didn't break design in somewhere else on the site.
