Delete Site Confirmation Box Appears Without Clicking on Delete

    Just putting this out...

This is for anyone using : multi-site

Got to work and was told a site was missing in Sellerdeck... I concluded it was deleted from the Sellerdeck program, but did not know how or why.

Eventually something weird happend : when I was in the File > Sites Box, and clicked on another site, and poped-up the Delete-confirm box... but I never clicked on "Delete" button
It would only happen once... so closing and re-opening File > Sites will have a chance of it happening again... I say "chance" as it's not always the 1st click that pops it... can be the 1st click... can be multiple afterwards... so it's quite random.

I notice that when you open File>Sites, the buttons on the right don't have a highlight around the button... but after clicking "no" on the delete-confirm pop-up, the "Done" button has a blue highlight/aura.

I assume staff here was switching sites, got that box pop-up, clicked "yes" without realising it's deleting the site and not switching site

So in the meantime to minimise... I've advised to not login as "admin" unless necessary.

I have posted a ticket to support on this.

SD version : v18.22 SQL / Multi sites / Multi User
Note: I got this to happen on my workstation... but the initial "missing site" happened on another user's workstation (before I got into work)

Today... My colleague apologised and said it happened again... I had to restore it again.

Further testing shows it pops up without even clicking/typing anything to invoke it.

    - I opened File>Sites : it's selected on site1
    - chose site2 and moved the mouse... for a minute, nothing happened
    - chose site3 and moved the mouse... 6 seconds later the confirm-site-delete window popped-up...
(I didn't have to move the mouse... just did that for video purposes)

It is quite random, very strange.

    Note:
In addition to the site backup, also make a copy of the sites.ini file
    - since SD deletes the folder AND removes the site entry in that file... I'm assuming that sites.ini file is outside the realms of the regular snapshots/backups.

Alarming... this thing pops up even as a "user"... who has no permission to delete sites...

See image... the "delete" button is greyed...

Not moving the mouse etc... it seems to pop-up every 61 seconds. Something (on a schedule?) is triggering this... but 61 seconds... not 60.
      - clicking "no" doesn't reset the 61 seconds... it is 61s on the system time.

Sounds like a dodgy mouse TBH. I've not heard of any other reports of this, and I can't imagine anything in the software or the OS that might cause it - although anything is possible.

If that was true... the mouse is always hitting the greyed-out "delete" button...
          - maybe dodgy keyboard... hitting the "Delete" button as administrator does popup that box...

Anyway... it's happening on two machines... and also I was testing it from home... so it happens when I remotely connect also.
          - dodgy keyboard on both machines at the same time... one keybaord is from 5th gen intel... and the other is 12th gen... old and new.

            omg... I just tested...

Hitting the "Delete" button as a "user" = the "delete" site message box pops up : now that's not supposed to happen... right?

(Considering dodgy keyboard... Thoughts on a keyboard that hits the Delete button every 61 seconds, and only for Sellerdeck... doesn't do it for File Explorer etc...?)

I unplugged the mouse and keyboard and problem persisted...

Anyway... I started to "end" some processes... and found one that causes it.
There was an update for that process and the popup no longer happens after updating.

It's scary what a process can do in the background

But #6 is definately a bug needs fixing.
              - thank Bruce for the mouse idea, otherwise I would never have thought to hit the delete button as a test
