Installing V18 on a new PC?

I am installing SD V18 on a new PC, I am concerned if I open the program on the new machine will it cause an issue with my existing installation on my current machine?

I see on startup it connects to the synchronisation server and it could conflict? (internet connection is live on both PC's)

To be clear I only want to use one machine but want it installed ready to go on the new one?

Thank you as always Gary at support for the information I needed, essentially for others make sure synchronisation is not enabled.
