Upgrading from 18.12 to 18.22

I want to move to 18.22, during the upgrading previously I recall the process halts and asks about layouts and if you wish to stay with older or go with newer.
I do not know the correct answer and certainly do not want to click it wrong as I assume this process is not reversible?
Is there a guide to doing this correctly?

Ed,

This doesn't really answer your question, but if you have a "spare" PC I'd recommend doing the upgrade on that, with the site in TEST mode. That way you can publish it as a test site, take your time testing it and re-do the upgrade if you need to, without interrupting your live site.

Due to concerns about upgrading to 18.2.3 and losing access to alternative payment providers, I kept a backup of my 18.2.2 Site1 folder so I could revert fairly easily if necessary. I reverted as follows:

• Backed up the 18.2.3 Site1 folder
• Uninstalled 18.2.3
• Installed 18.2.2
• Copied my backed-up 18.2.2 site folder to Site1
• Updated my stock and products (I do all my product maintenance in an Access database outside Sellerdeck, so this was a simple flat file import)
• Imported my orders from the backed up 18.2.3 folder.

That's about it - I also had to re-apply a few minor layout changes that I'd done since upgrading to 18.2.3.

I'd like to be able to upgrade beyond 18.2.2 again in the future, but right now I'm not hopeful.

Excellent I thought it was near impossible to go back a version.
