    Non-conanical pages in Sitemap

Hi, I have split large lists of products across several pages to help with page speed, but I now have a problem with the lead page being non-canonical in the sitemap.
How do I present non-canonical pages in the sitemap?
    Thanks

    E.g. Canonical page: https://footballtrophy.co.uk/shop/fo...-trophies.html
    Non-canonical page: https://footballtrophy.co.uk/shop/fo...ophies-p1.html

See my post in the link below:

As long as your product pages are identifiable in the sitemap.xml they should be correctly canonically indexed by Google.

Google search console bots are now picking up all sorts of combinations of "not-indexed" pages shown shown grey on the search console page index reports but as long as your products are correctly identified from the sitemap in the green "indexed" pages then these should be found in search results.

I have given up trying to find a solution for now, particularly because I have been rationalising 100s of product page names to remove part number references to make it easier to enable supplier part number changes.

I have deleted the superseded html product pages in Sellerdeck product data so they do not appear on the domain, however, they still show up as "not-indexed" pages in Google search console and I am expecting these to disappear over time as they are no longer listed in the sitemap.

Thank you, Martin. It is an annoying reminder every time I visit the Search Console.
Maybe Sellerdeck could use a different way to paginate pages than changing the section page name.

Having checked the links in your #1 post, I see both the complete "...-trophies.html" and "fo..ophies-p1.html" but no link appears to https://footballtrophy.co.uk/shop/fo...ophies-p2.html, ...-p3, ...-p4 etc. so I wondered if you had the pagination set up correctly.

I have the number of products per page set under Settings | Site Options | Page Settings | Section Pagination Products Per Page - Use Parent (=12).

The number of products to display can be varied to other than Parent on a Section by Section basis.

The page links on my site appear with the page links displayed under the Section heading like the example below:

          Thanks again Martin for looking.
You are correct, the pagination page links are missing both top and bottom so there is no through road to the rest of the products not on the section page.
The filter works through all the section page products so I have set the pagination to 200 products to kill it off and create more section pages for the larger sections.
          Well that didn't work!
I saw my search results crash with the longer pages, so I copied in the code for the Standard Pagination Navigation Links and set the product quantity to 24.
I've also reduced the size of my images to 284 px and reduced the thumbnails to 142 px with a .webp extension.
I've also set the images in the filters to productthumbnailimagefilename to reduce the page load.

I will create more sub-section pages to reduce pagination as much as possible, as the [page]-p1.html is messing things up.
