    Consent Management Program

Customer (v18.2.3 custom site) have been advised by their Digital Marketing Agency that it is now 'law' that third-parties like Google need to obtain user consent so that they can access their data.

Their site did not have the standard Cookie Consent by https://www.CookieConsent.com so I added it and it functioned correctly on the live site.

However customer’s advisors say that apparently CookieConsent is not good enough.

They recommend signing up for https://www.cookieyes.com/pricing/ at $10 per month. That will apparently generate code that I will have to add to the <head>,

    Have you heard of this?

Is Cookie Consent by https://www.CookieConsent.com really no longer adequate and in which case should Sellerdeck incorporate an acceptable replacement?

    Thank you!

I use Google shopping and merchant centre directly and they have not asked, I assume it's a partner of the digital marketing company and just another subscription ploy.

I only applied these cookies consent stuff when Google red flagged and limited it's services... if it hasn't red flagged (still showing as green tick), I won't do any more work in this area.

I would have thought that ClearAccept should have jumped in on this as a revenue maker...
I'm sure it's a really simple thing to achieve that has the potential to rake in money per month whether it's Sellerdeck or not.
      - those sites just seem to be a questionaire based and then modifies the code accordingly, and data kept on a db (strange that when a person want to be private, it has to be in a db)

I would say that the current cookie consent is adequate for most people's needs.
It could be that the client is using specific data that requires other permissions.
Also, the cookieconsent.com script redirects to https://www.termsfeed.com/public/cook...kie-consent.js

My adwords partner has confirmed that making this change does work and consent mode is active, so this solves the issue.

Just as an FYI, setting this up looks to have completely nuked all tracking and conversion tracking on my site, I have had to remove and implement CookieYes.
              Many Thanks
