    Edit basket to show UK only

    I keep getting orders from outside the UK. Yes I can cancel and refund them but it's time consuming and tends to irritate the customer.

    I do have it everywhere possible stating UK mainland only but if it could appear in the basket I'm sure it would help.

    Knowing how easily the mobile basket and checkout pages can get messed up I'm reluctant to just have a go!

    Any ideas appreciated?.

    Hi Ed,
    I can't see where you have it on your website that you only deliver to the UK Mainland.
    In Business Settings > Payment & Security, you can select "limit by location" and add the United Kingdom there.
    In the configuration tab for Shipping and Handling set If Shipping Band not Defined to "Do Not Allow Shipping" radio button or set a very high default charge.

    You can also remove countries from Settings > Locations, but that is a last resort.

      Thanks, I've tried every way in business settings, my checkout only has UK prefilled and customer cannot change it, yet they ignore it.

      The worst offenders just click paypal, the shipping description in the checkout says UK only as well as in terms.

      In product pages the delivery tab also states it.

      The last place I can think of is the basket to hopefully stop a few!

          In addition to the "limit location" on the payment method,
          ours seem to be affected by the shipping locations (ie. I removed Ukraine from it's shipping zone... no-one with Ukraine address can complete the order)

          Maybe re-jig your shipping settings.
          I'm sure checkout can't complete without valid shipping price.

            Did you check out the suggestion in Post #2 to review Payment Security | Limited by Location?

            I have attached a screenshot below of our site settings for your information.

            If you just have United Kingdom set in "Configure valid locations" then this should limit deliveries to UK destinations only.

            I have Jersey and Guernsey included here as VAT is not applicable for these destinations.

            I remember discovering a discrepancy with this setting some time ago when all countries were listed as valid payment locations after receiving orders from some obscure locations not listed within postal shipping zones and I think this may have been associated with customers opting for delivery to a different delivery address.

              Thanks Martin I'm pretty sure I've done all of this, my checkout is not editable for country selection by customers at all.
              They even ignore it filling in their foreign address leaving the country set as UK!

                We also have regions/states (County) setup (it's the way our shipping is based on)
                Customers have to select a County and the Country (and there is no "default" County )
