Google Tag Manager (GTM) - Can't get it to work

    Hi,

Has anyone got Google Tag Manager working successfully to track conversions with Sellerdeck v18? I'm using v 18.2.2.

After consultation with Google, I published the GTM code on our site a couple of weeks ago with disastrous consequences! Add to cart stopped working and produced an Internal Server Error message. GTM was adding extra parameters to the URL for add to cart - e.g. https://www.buybrandtools.com/cgi-bi...xh_7fpRBMmHryQ

Only by removing GTM code from our website again could I stop the error.

If anyone could offer any advice on how to overcome this problem, or have got GTM working another way, then it'd be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Jon

It's a been a while since I was in calls with Google... I can't really rememeber too much.

Checking our settings, in the Marketing>Google Tags

I recall enabling "Google Tag Manager" part didn't work

    Checking https://tagmanager.google.com/#/home#tags
    Clicking on the website name:

So, yeah, GTM code = we don't use it.

Try without it and use : https://tagassistant.google.com/
Used it a lot to check what happens with the tags

Thank you zgap111. I'm using a GA4 tag currently, but wanted to add GTM for greater flexibility to integrate with other tags. The GTM code was fine according to Tag Assistant, but it caused serious problems with Sellerdeck unfortunately.
