We are contemplating using actinics' EPOS system on a lap top with a scanner attached for stock control purposes. I am wondering if anyone has experience of getting the information back into sage line 50 (09 version). I am aware of the link from the actinic online cart facility but not sure if there is a similar option for the EPOS system? Thanks Aaron.

Would disagree with you on that comment.
Our Sage Line 50 handles our Sales Order Purchases , Supplier Purchases , dept budgeting and forecasts , VAT Returns , Stock allocations plus many many more duties. We could never replace Sage with Actinic EPOS , however EPOS wins handsdown as a Retail EPOS frontend over sage.
Our problem is , we have Actinic Business Plus and have it nicely integrated with Sage Line50 Accounts Plus. We are looking at a Retail EPOS , but we have been informed that we cannot move sales taken within Actinic EPOS back into Sage or even back into Actinic Business ? So we would have to re-enter all sales into sage manually , crazy !!! This is why you should seriously think about a link from EPOS to Sage or even EPOS-BUSINESS-SAGE.
Maybe im wrong , i hope i am , its the only stumbling block thats stopping me spending a few quid on a few complete actinic Epos setups...

I use Sage 50 Accounts 2010 for Accounting, Actinic EPOS with 4 tills for sales/purchases, etc, and I'm hoping to go live with Actinic Business for online sales later this week.
I do intend to link Actinic Business to EPOS to maintain stock levels in EPOS, for both.
I don't know how Actinic Business will impact on using Sage at this stage, but I'm pretty sure Actinic Link will not work with the way our Sage is set up.
I presently get the daily sales data from EPOS by using a home made report, generated using AQT (Advanced Query Tool - see www.querytool.com), then manually enter the info into Sage using a Journal (usually 8-20 lines). I suppose the data could be inserted into Sage also using AQT, but I haven't bothered delving into the database structure of Sage as yet.
I will probably start off by doing something similar for Actic Business.

Thats exactly my Point , Actinic EPOS could never replace SAGE in probably 99% of companies , but for some reason Actinic obviously think there is no requirement for transferring data between EPOS & SAGE.
As i see it , an quick solution would be to allow sales to be transferred from EPOS to Ecommerce , at-least this way we could then transfer the sale from Ecommerce into Sage !!!
Any Comments on this ACTINIC ?
