Resetting a theme??

Is there a way to completely reset a theme? Basically when i upgrade my store and change to the silver theme which i want to use it is dragging over custom changes from my other theme which do not go and break it

I have tried doing reset to factory on various places in the library but it doesnt seem to do anything

I normally find changing themes a few times can clear things - is use a theme you've never used before.

I will try that its not a problem ive ever had before and its a brand new never used theme as its silver which only came out in V10
