Actinic V10.0.1 Production Release

Actinic is delighted to announce the release of the latest Actinic v10 update v10.01.

This is available for all Actinic v10 customers to download from the Patches and Updates section of the Download Centre.

Actinic v10.0.1 is an interim release containing a number of fixes for known issues, for a full list of changes in this release please see the Release Notes section of the Download Centre.

NB SagePay users: we are aware of a SagePay problem that causes transactions to fail with state-based shipping. We are generating a patch to fix this, which will be released shortly, in the meantime you should not upgrade to v10 if you are using SagePay and using states to calculate shipping.

For Actinic Business, Business Plus and Enterprise users there is also a new version of Actinic Link for Sage 50 Accounts, also available in the Actinic Link section of the Download Centre.

I have been reading the Multi User Installation Guide and there is a recommendation for NOT installing the Dreamweaver Extension in other computer than the Primary Machine.
Our site is in one computer, and I do the designing work in another computer.
What would be the "problem" having the Dreamweaver Extension installed in other computer than the Primary Machine?

I'm not certain about using the Dreamweaver extensions in multi-user mode. I will enquire.

By the way, should I install the 10.0 before installing the 10.01?

Just install 10.01, no need to increment the install, all interim releases are now full and complete versions.

Apparently this is just precaution and not a necessity. It may even be related to an earlier v9 bug which was fixed in v9.0.3. There doesn't seem to be any technical reason why you shouldn't do that.

Any files used in the design should still be stored in the Site folder on the Primary PC, though, and you may find it a bit slower doing design over the network.

Issue with VAT when transferring order from Actinic V10.01 to Sage

Is there something to resolve this. The sage does not recognise the VAT anymore from Actinics. Also Actinics v10 is not adding VAT to orders received.

You would need to contact support about that, there is no reason that I know of why that should be happening.
