    Odd behaviour on closing v10

    Hi All,

    Actinic newbie here!

    I've downloaded and installed v10 trial.
    I'm trialing business plus as I want multiusers.
    I've uploaded it to my website and it seems to work fine.
    I'm using the default 'silver theme' with no changes.

    However, on closing the program, after the 'do you want to save a backup' screen.. the program closes then theres an error beep and error box appears.
    I have attached a jpeg of the error so you can see.

    I'm on a windows 7 professional machine.

    Two things.
    I'm using Using Account Control. If I turn that off then the error doesnt sound, but leaving UAC off is not an option.

    Also, the error didnt happen on shutdown until I had uploaded the website.
    Before the network settings had been added and I uploaded, it shut down without the error. This was with UAC enabled.

    This might not be something to worry about.. but I'd like to know for sure, as having a program shut down like this is disconcerting to say the least.

    Any advice most welcome, thanks

    I'm using W7 Pro with UAC enabled but I run Actinic as Administrator and have no problems.

      Yes, I run it as administrator, but it always closes with an error 'beep' and the screen I've uploaded.

        It will only close without an error beep if I disable uac.

        but win7 says;

        Not recommended. Choose this only if you need to use programs that are not certified for windows 7 because they do not support user account control
        Does v10 support user account control?

          I can't compact a database without getting a large error message either. W7 pro as administrator also.

            I don't any get errors on W7 compacting or otherwise. Even v705 works fine on W7.

              Have you created a user, set it up as admin, signed in using that user and installed actinic for just that user as the installation recommends?

                I'm the only user on my machine.
                My account is administrator.

                Do you think the error displayed (previously attached) is produced by actinic or by win7? Do you know where I can see an error log.. or something that might tell me what the error is? A warning beep and a red cross are not a lot to go on!

                      We are running v10.01 multi user and Epos and have exactly the same error message on closing the programme.

                      Support asked us to compact all databases, but this has not stopped it happening.

                      Must admit we are waiting for v10.02 to get the Epos / web Sync working before worrying about this though...

                            HHhhmm.

                            I'm using 32bit as well.

                            and you've uploaded the site to a server as well?

                            It didnt do the error beep on closing until I uploaded the test site... Now beeps every time I close... but if I turn off uac it doesnt error beep on closing.

                            So it must be something to do with uac. But we've been told not to disable uac.

                              I get this same problem but with V9.

                              It seems random and only happens 1 to 2 times a week. As I can open Actinic with no problems after it has happened I basically ignore it. I may find it annoying though if it happened every time.
