2 versions of actinic on 2 seperate computers help

Hello all, I would like to know if it is possible to have 2 versions of actinic on 2 seperate pc's.

I plan to add all products in England and have all orders received in Spain.

Is it possible to do this?

It is possible to upload products and design from one computer and download the orders to another compluter. You will need make sure that the products are kept in to date though on the order machine, perhaps by sending a snapshot from one to the other regularly.

no it isnt.

Actinic will allow you to import orders from pc to pc, but it will overwrite not merge.

We used to run this set up - we had orders on one PC. (1) this pc download only

Design and product management on the other. (2) this pc upload only

periodically we would take the orders DB from 1 and import into 2. Thus updating also boughts etc, and re-upload.

we tended not to snapshot from 2 back onto 1, it didnt affect order download, although i suspect someone can tell us why you should.

We successfully run 2 computers, upload new products at home and download orders at TOOLMAN HQ. Even though actinic said it couldn't be done!
