We are testing a few fixes which should address most of the issues in this thread, and improve running with Windows 7 generally. We hope to have an alpha build with these fixes in 3-4 weeks. I will post here as soon as it's available.

v10.0.3 is now available as a beta test version. For details see

This version runs in Windows 7 native mode instead of Vista compatibility mode. It closes two loopholes that could cause a crash with empty error message on exit, and has some other fixes that may be relevant here.
It would be very helpful if as many people as possible in this thread could participate in the beta test, and let us know whether or not you find it better than 10.0.2 under Windows 7. Unfortunately the beta can't be installed on the same PC as v10.0.2, but you can upload to the same site in Test Mode without overwriting your live store.
