    Excel Tables

    Hello,

This is probably very basic but........

I have a pricelist in excel which is linked to products that are not and will not be sold online. What I wish to do is place a table of prices on a brochure page in Actinic.

I understand that Excel can save tables as a web page. It will also update those pages everytime the Excel Sreadsheet is saved.

If I export tables from my Excel Pricelist to Single Web Pages, can I then use the 'Add Additional Files' to upload these pages and bring that information into an Actinic Brochure Page within a fragment? I don't want to have to cut & paste the code for each table each time prices change if it can be avoided.

Whilst trying to find the answer on Google I have come to understand that the excel html can be a little messy but it will save so much work if the pages are updated automatically.

    Kind Regards

    Peter

Could you not have them as a stand-alone page with a link to them?
Excel web pages do contain extra code and proprietary (IE very non-standard) markup that could well cause Actinic to "choke" on it.
I don't know for sure as I have never tried, but Excels version of HTML web-pages could cause big problems.
Whichever way you do it it sounds a bit messy to me.

This is easy enough to do. see post 7 in this thread:

PS. Ignore the discussions. The code in post 7 will include the file from your PC on the page. Simple.

Thank you both very much for your replies.

        The php thread looks interesting.

I shall have a think and a play over the weekend on which is the best way forward........

Any other views and suggestions over the weekend would still be welcome.

        Kind Regards

That looks interesting--I will investigate that.

You could do the same with a variable of type File Content.
