Frament Bug in V10.01

When using a fragment, and linking it to the product, the link does not work.

When viewing the link, instead of having the product reference such as TURM7 in the url it simply has a number such as 124. I believe the number is the number that Actinic would use if we were allowing it to auto generate product reference numbers, which we are not.

Another BIG moan which has just lost me 39 products.

Why is delete next to cut? I wanted to delete a section in Actinic to take it offline but a small lag in my computer meant that I CUT instead of DELTE, no warning or anything and 39 products gone.

Today is one of those days where I could throw Actinic out of the window!

I just tested this on a default store and it worked fine, with and without autogenertion of product references. There must be some other factor.

There is another factor here that I am trying to understand.

Basically we added around 60 fragments and used text as the link.

We then carried on with around another 100 fragments and changed the link to an image.

We decided that we preferred the image, so went back to 60 with the text links and changed the text to html for the image. All displays fine but it is these 60 that are now broken.

I have found that relinking the product then works, but why did Actinic change to an auto generated reference that does not exist, and more worryingly, is this likely to happen when anything is changed?

When changing types around it's always a good idea to compact the database regularly which may well have helped. Dosn't answer your question, but may help for the future.

Luckily it was only 39 products due to a recent snapshot.

Added more fragments over the weekend and this happened again.

To try to replicate the bug do the following.

New fragment linking with text to the product.

When complete change something, I changed the text to an image.

The linked url then changes to an auto generated reference that when live says this product is not in the catalogue.

I am unable to replicate this on my copy of v10.0.1 using the steps given, seems to be something site-specific. Suggest you ask support to have a look at the snapshot to see if the issue can be identified.

I'm trying to replicate this - how do you mean you changed the text to an image?

We had the text "More Info" but changed over to a graphic instead of using text.

We added the html into the text link box which worked fine visually but broke the url.

A simple change but it does change the URL.

If you put this in the Link Text box:
!!<<img src="test.jpg">>!!
then it works for me.

That is the text I put in with the exception of my own image name and that is what breaks it.

Must just be an isolated bug on my machine.

Are the html embedders required in a field that is turned into html? I suspect the a tag is not being formed correctly, like Norman said provide the resultant code and a screenshot of the input screen, I'm wondering whether its like when you want a new window to open and have to fudge the positions of the ".
