home page customising

Hi All

This is a very daft question but I am losted on how it works.

I have been adding sections and products and side parts to my new site but I cannot figure how to edit the home/front page. I want to add a collage of images and images of the sections I have created but I can't see how you achieve this.

Can anybody point me to where I am going wrong/missing
