Search by price cheapest first

The only thing that seems to come up when one searches for the above is the thread:

Another "Holy Grail" patch: Allow customers to sort by Price, Name, etc

There is no link to the discussed patch and Drillpine doesn't list it.

I just wondered if there was any progress or if I am just missing something?

The aim is to search by price with the results in ascending order of price.

Norman's 'Sorted Products / Sections' patch is there but I'm not sure if it will work with the search results - best send him an email and ask.

My Sorted Products / Sections also works on the Search results.

However there's a caveat - it can only sort each page of results individually.

The way around this is to turn off the limit on the number of results per page so you get the lot on one page and then sorting makes sense.
