Exclusive & Inclusive VAT problem

I'm using Actinic Business Plus 10.0.2 on Windows 7 (SMART template)
I'm displaying Best Selling Items & New Products on my BROCHURE page
Both are Best Selling Items & New Products are displaying INCLUSIVE of VAT (I want them as EXCLUSIVE)
Iv'e obviously changed something somewhere as all my products are EXCLUSIVE of VAT on the website....BUT WHERE?

get into the design tab and select the layout you are using for the marketing lists (click on one and it should take you to it)

If you click on a marketing list price, it should bring up the layout you are using for them and show you the price layout in use.
You can then swap this for its tax-exclusive counterpart.

I've got a bit of an odd one in the opposite direction. If I set the site to show Ex VAT prices, it shows them just fine. If I select inc VAT the prices vanish entirely.

also, assuming this works and can be corrected, is it possible to show inc VAT to non-logged in customers, but ex VAT for logged in customers.

the first point is the main pain at the moment though!
