    Stock Synchronisation Error Box Problem

I used, pre V10, Mole End to do more-or-less what Version 10 auto-stock synchronisation does - downloading orders, updating stock and uploading. I could leave this running overnight and when away and could be confident that the stock would be as close as possible to correct on the website. However, with V10 stock synchro running, I am getting an error box that appears from time-to-time, every night for example, which waits for a human to click on a button before continuing, preventing the auto-synch from continuing, causing stock problems in the morning. The message is, "Actinic received a service unavailable error from the web server. The server is too busy right now. Try again later". My guesses as to why this appears are either there has been a momentary glitch in the internet connection, or it is trying to run the next download before the earlier one has finished, or something else I can't guess at. I have tried changing every 60 seconds to every 90 seconds, but this has not prevented the error dialogue box. Any suggestions? Would be good if it did a default Retry without somebody having to click. I can't stay up all night!

Sarah, the stock should stay correct even if the synchronisation isn't running provided you aren't taking MOTO or EPOS orders. In other words the web site dynamically updates the stock after the customer has checked out.

      Good

Thanks Chris. That's good to know - I hadn't fully understood that.

      We only accept orders online.
