Wanting to try out the COUPON discounts on our website.

Is it possible that when I user types a coupon code into the COUPON BOX on the front page it would show what the COUPON is for. Currently when you type this in the page refreshes only - but when you select the product group and buy you see the discount on checkout.

I am trying to make it that if I sent a promotional email out offering say 10% of Wheel Covers that when they type this code in it shows the wheel covers page.

If you're sending them correspondence containing a coupon code, wouldn't it be more sensible to provide a link within the correspondence so they can go straight to the page?

I don't think you'll manage to do what you are after using standard functions, perl scripts are involved in the checkout procedure. You'd have to have some sort of routine actioned when they exit the coupon code that looked up that code in an array and bounced you off to the corresponding page. That's just not going to be realistic to manage if indeed possible IMO.

Thanks for reply. I have done that in the past but wanted to start trying out some of the features I hadn't used before and I thought coupons might be a good idea
