Size of actinic site on remote server

1) is there an easy way of seeing how much space on the remote server an actinic site uses?

2) is there a direct correlation to the snapshot size?

3) does the upload process (in particular, compressed upload) require additional temp space over and above the space needed for the actual site files?

1/ If you have an FTP program such a CuteFtp that will report the folder size on the server

2/ The answer is a No, the snapshot contains items (e.g. the Access database) that do not get transferred, but the Access database size will be related to the amount of data on the site. The site may well contain other information such as log files that have no relation whatsoever with the Snapshot

Examples from live sites
Site 1 - 15.9Mb, Snapshot 9.5Mb
Site 2 - 8.5Mb, Snapshot 3Mb
Site 3 - 65.4Mb, Snapshot 60Mb
Site 4 - 484.2Mb, Snapshot 300Mb

3/ Data has to be stored somewhere whilst it is transferring and being expanded (when compressed)

snapshots are just a old version of winzip so depending on things like images etc compression will vary greatly with different images and product descriptions etc
