Brand name listing as well as general listing

If I want to group products for sale in my webstore under a specific product type and I then want to be able to display a list of those products according to their brand names (manufacturer's names), do I have to enter the data twice when adding products to my webstore? What is the best way to do this please?

You can create duplicates.

In the content tree right click and copy the product then highlight the location of where you would like a duplicate then right click and select to past as duplicate.
