    Find where jpgs are used

    Hi All

Not sure if this is daft or simple question but when I do snapshot I get some warnings files are outside Site folder. Is there a way to search within the program for the file name of the particular file so I can change its location. At moment I have to "guess" where they are

There's no easy way in Actinic to get this info. There really should be and this is poor performance at Actinic's end. The error message should list the file names and where they are used in Actinic.

A way to manually look:- The "Detail" button on the warning dialogue gives you a list of the file names.

You could then look for these names by opening ActincCatalog.mdb in Access and searching for them in the Product table in the ImageFileName field. There are also other fields for the Extended Info and Thumbnail images.

If they're Section images, then table Catalog section, field sSectionImageFile is another place to look.

Another way could be to file - export, then open up that file and do a CTRL-F on the image name, should show you which section or product is using it. Agreed that actinic error reporting is useless.

A much better idea than mine.

If you open the resulting file in Notepad and search for ":\" you'll be taken to each absolute filename that exists.
