Actinic Link to Sage

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this situation?
I have almost completed my online store and virtually completely populated it with all my necessary products by manualy entering details etc. I now feel I really need to use Sage for my accounting and everything else, question, can I install Sage and populate it with all the products etc from Actinic, all info I have explains the other way except orders etc.
Any advice greatly appreciated as Sage ain't cheap and I'd hate to waste my money!!
I'm using Actinic v10, Link is installed.

we use sage v11 and actinic v9.0.3 and do not use stock control so may be lightly different

all we do is use actinic for everything, packing lists and invoices, we then export orders to sage for accounting

if you do it this way you do not need to update sage with the products as they automatically get transferred with actinic export

Do you still do the export using Actinic Link or just a plain transfer to Sage. I was considering using Sage for all stock control, customers and accounts etc as the finances are beginning to get quite involved so need a good set-up to keep accurate track.
I would still like to know if the reverse transfer of data from Actinic to Sage is possible though.

We use Sage Line 50 2011 and Actinic 10.0.2, linked via Actinic Link, and all we use Actinic for is to take orders from the web. All processing is done in Sage. However, we populated Actinic from the information from Sage, and not the other way round.

Also, we sell some secondhand books from our site; these are not included in Sage, but are stored in an external Access database. When these are ordered and exported to Sage, Sage gives them a generic product code. I'm not sure you can create products in Sage from the information in Actinic.

That said, if you created the products in Sage with the same reference as the products in Actinic, I'm sure that they would successfully link up when you export orders from Actinic.

However, I don't think there is going to be a quick way to transfer the products; I fear that you will have to recreate all the items in Sage by hand.

Thanks for that, I was afraid that would be the case but before re-entering approx 1,750 products+descriptions+codes etc etc into Sage by hand I thought I'd check out all possibilities, 'tis going to be a long job......again! Haven't given up all hope yet though, might be someone out there who's got an answer or workround, here's hoping!
